Finance - Treasury
Finance/Treasury is responsible for the day-to-day operation of financial matters of the City including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, miscellaneous receivables, and billing and collection for both real and personal property taxes, as well as utilities. The Finance Director/Treasurer serves as the chief financial officer for the City. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and directing the maintenance of accounting records
- Managing the City investment policy
- Maintaining the official records of the revenues and expenditures
- Supervising the collection and balancing of daily cash receipts for utility services, taxes and
other City charges - Coordinating the preparation of real and personal property tax billings and maintaining records
of their collection and disbursement - Performing special projects as assigned by the City Manager
- Supervising the processing of payroll
- Administering the City’s personnel system
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget
- Coordinating the annual financial audit
