Dear Ironwood Business Owners,
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) has released information on the upcoming Michigan Small Business Survival Grant Program. Applications open on Tuesday, January 19 at 8am CST and close on Friday, January 22 at 11am CST. It is a quick turnaround. The application questions are on the website to give you an opportunity to prepare your information ahead of time. Click here to go to the website.
The grant amounts are up to $20,000 for businesses that have been temporarily closed and up to $15,000 for businesses that have been partially closed.
There is a special pot of money for Michigan live music and entertainment venues. This grant is up to $40,000. Click here for more info. This grant opens at 8am CST, Thursday January 21 and closes at 11 am CST on Thursday, January 28.
The State has also released a grant program to help employees that have been adversely impacted by COVID-19 restrictions. The Employee Assistance Grants are open tomorrow, January 15th at 8am CST and close January 25, at 4pm CST. Click here for more info.
Also, Congress passed additional business relief funding at the end of the year. The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) will be reactivated as well as the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL). This program will be open until March 31st or as funds are available. More information can be found from the following websites.
