Dear Ironwood Business Owners,

This email is to update everyone on some upcoming opportunities to help your business in these difficult times. As many of you know, Congress passed additional business relief funding at the end of the year. The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) will be reactivated as well as the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL). First Draw for the PPP will be open on Monday, January 11th. If your business has had a previous draw and would like to make another one you will be able to do so starting January 13th. This program will be open until March 31st or as funds are available. More information can be found from the following websites.

US Chamber Commerce Site

Small Business Administration Site (PPP)

Small Business Administration Site (EIDL)

The Michigan Economic Development Corp will be providing more details about the new Survival Grant Program after the Michigan Strategic Fund Board meeting on January 14th. We expect that the grant application will be released soon after that meeting with a very quick turnaround. Please watch your email, facebook, and The Daily Globe for information on this. We will be trying to reach as many businesses as we can to take advantage of this opportunity. Be sure to check out the Update906.com website for information as well. They will have guidance on business support and grant programs.

As always, if you have any questions you are welcome to contact me by email or phone at bergmant@cityofironwood.org or at 906-932-5050 ext 126.

Take care everyone,

Thomas Bergman
